Just heard about TFFF – Tropical Forest Forever Facility. (See https://tfff.earth) A proposal from Brazil for an international financial instrument to protect Tropical Forests – and support indigenous peoples and local communities. The fund will be kicked off at the UN COP30 in November, 2025. I will be following this closely.

It is good to see action on climate change, the environment and the interconnectedness of life on Earth at this level. I need to think bout how I can support this locally in the Pacific Northwest. Also – this brings to mind Macfarlane’s book “Is A River Alive?”, about the movement to give river’s legal rights. Do Forests also deserve rights?
